Default Update: BG Engine Oil Flush

Click the image to open in full size.

Took the car in per yesterday's post for a full service flush on the oil system.

Before they ran the cleaner through, they pushed compressed air through the oil filter hookup and removed even more oil that didn't drain. After that completed, he switched it over to the cleaner which got pushed through and was forced out the drain hole. The first fluid to come through was a nice thick black color, and then the good/bad part: chuncks of caramelized oil and sludge, not to mention fluid sludge.

The flush wasn't has comprehensive as say R-2000, but I can't find a local place that offers the service. The tech poured a can of their BG oil cleaner in and told me to run for about 1500-2000 miles, flush and drain the oil, and then run AutoRX if I want.

Not a whole lot of difference in the cylinder head yet, but I'll keep tabs on it for changes.

Default I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe what you say they found in the oil. Synthetics keep that..

stuff suspended in the oil for the filter to trap.

Default I'm really beginning to suspect foul play from the dealer claming to have used sythetic oil.

Default I'm with ya on that. I doubt synthetic oil could ever get that bad, even if it was run for 20k

intervals.

Default There is. Its 1x1 px, lol. Better that than some stupid, pointless shot that doesn't relate

to the post. I've actually stopped resonding to people who do that.
